Barr awarded 2021 Hall of Fame Honoree

The 2021 Hall of Fame Honoree plaque was awarded to Sandy Barr by Suzanne Grove during the Pomeroy Chamber of Commerce Cowboy Breakfast last Saturday, September 18. A fair amount of community enjoyed breakfast at the Spinners Maple Hall and congratulated Barr for her support of the fair as a volunteer.

Pomeroy– The 2021 Hall of Fame Honoree, Sandy Barr, was presented a plaque by Suzanne Grove during the Cowboy Breakfast at the Spinners Maple Hall last Saturday, September 18.

Barr served as Garfield County Fair volunteer since arriving to Pomeroy in 1994, first in the flower barn, then the Home Economics department as baking superintendent then back to the flower barn as superintendent.

"Sandy is a true and faithful supporter of our Garfield County Fair," said Linda McKeirnan.

"I love the Garfield County Fair because it is such a wonderful community event," said Barr. "It brings families together to share in long-standing traditions."

The Garfield County fair is a true long-standing time-honored tradition which bring family and friends together, celebrating all that Pomeroy has to offer. "It is a great joy to watch our town come together year after year to put on such a special fair and I am grateful to be a part of it," Barr said.
