The Student Section was awash with pink shirts, socks, hats and plenty of supportive spirit during Pomeroy Lady Pirate's volleyball match against Oakesdale last week as all supported "Pink Out the Gym" Night. Signs-all in pink-supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month with signs that read "Real Fans Wear Pink" and "Find A Cure." Pink ribbons and balloons added to the atmosphere, which urges a cure for the type of cancer which counts 1.38 million new cases every year, and 458,000 deaths. Sid Bales, left, and Richie Vecchio led the Pomeroy student section in rousing cheers in support of the Lady Pirate Volleyball Team.
