Garfield County District Court–Judge Tom Cox

September 8, 2021

Ryan J. Carter, of Chehalis, Wash., pleaded guilty to gross misdemeanor Driving While Under the Influence. Carter was sentenced to 98 days jail, must pay $2,146, and must complete a substance abuse treatment program.

Fred D. Roy, of Pomeroy, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree. Roy was sentenced to 17 days jail and must pay $146.

Chris S. Scaroni, of Lewiston, pleaded guilty to gross misdemeanor Operating a Vehicle without an Ignition Interlock Device. Scaroni was fined $451.

Aaron J. Schumacher, of Clarkston, pleaded guilty to gross misdemeanor Operating a Vehicle without an Ignition Interlock Device and misdemeanor Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree. Schumacher was sentenced to 4 days jail, and must pay $349.

Robert J. Wagenborg, of Pomeroy, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree. Wagenborg was sentenced to serve 6 days jail.


Garfield County Superior Court – Judge Brooke Burns

October 6, 2021

Paul E. Hines, of Yakima, Wash., pleaded guilty to Attempting to Elude Police, a class C felony. Hines was sentenced to 22 months prison and must pay $500.

Jesse F. Reisinger, of Pomeroy, pleaded guilty to Residential Burglary, a class B felony. Reisinger was sentenced to a Drug Offender Sentencing Alternative which requires six months of in-patient treatment followed by 24 months of Dept. of Corrections Community Custody.

Thomas R. Thayer, formerly of Pomeroy, pleaded guilty to the gross misdemeanors of Reckless Driving and Hit and Run Attended Vehicle. Thayer was sentenced to: two days jail; must pay $2,506 in legal financial obligations; and will be subject to a license suspension.
