Pomeroy Assist awarded Shepherd Foundation grant

The Shepherd Foundation grant availed the opportunity to erect a new storage unit for the Pomeroy Assist Garfield County Humanitarian Association. Presenting the new shed from left to right are Maggie Warren, Shelly Berglund, Sarah Meyers, Diane Koller, and Rachel Anderson.

POMEROTY–The Harold and Helen Shepherd Foundation (Shepherd Foundation) awarded the Pomeroy Assist Garfield County Humanitarian Association with $3,000 to obtain and erect a new shed and help with water bills and operations for Emergency Housing in Pomeroy.

Pomeroy Assist Executive Director Rachel Anderson, wrote a grant application for Pomeroy Assist Garfield County Humanitarian Association to help with water bills and operation expenses of emergency housing. It also included a request for funds for a shed which would provide an area to keep supplies and goods. The Shepherd Foundation accepted the application awarding a $3,000 grant to help advance the community efforts of the organization.
