Special Health District meeting called to address administrator changes

Martha Lanman announced her resignation as Columbia County Public Health District Administrator, terminating the inter-local service agreement between Garfield and Columbia counties.
POMEROY–Garfield County Health District Administrator Martha Lanman announced her resignation as Columbia County's Public Health District Administrator at a special Health District meeting on October 12. As per the inter-local administrative services agreement between Garfield and Columbia counties, Lanman will no longer be operating as Garfield County's administrator when her 30 days' notice at Columbia County expires.
To address this, the Health District board has passed Resolutions 2021-26, to terminate the inter-local agreement with Columbia County for administrative services, and 2021-27, to hire Martha Lanman as Health District administrator effective on the day of termination of the inter-local agreement.
The board also passed Resolution 2021-28, which terminates the public health nurse contract with Columbia County. Jackie Tetrick, the nurse who has been filling the contract, will come back to work full time in Garfield County. Her salary will be paid with community health worker funds.
