POMEROY–The Eastern Washington Agricultural Museum (EWAM) recently acquired new equipment exhibits, accepted a new member, continued work on windmill and reviewed fair, tours and future purchases.
The EWAM acquired a Case 15-27 cross motor tractor, a wood John Deere drill, a rope making machine and a collection from the Bill Wojciechowski estate. In addition, possibly getting a small freight wagon from the WSU School of Veterinary of Medicine.
In other business, a new member, Steve Simmons is now the new Life Member of the EWAM, the windmill signage is cut and will be welded for the upcoming installation. The attendance during the fair seems a bit low this year, but had significant interest in the displays inside and out.
Several tours were given in August and September and the Lewis Clark Antique Power Club plan a tour, meeting and potluck in October. David and Nancy Ruark will be hosting.
Gary Cole has offered his shop to start the work on the sawmill during the winter, and Roy Wold suggested the purchase of some caster wheels to make the "hit and miss engines" more maneuverable.
The next EWAM meeting will be held in the EWAM library on Sunday, October 17 at 6 p.m.
