The Student of the Month Pirates Award for October 2021 is presented to Atalya Mitchell, nominated by Nettie Severs and sponsored by Ben and Tina Keller, for her positive attitude and kind nature.
Atalya shows PRIDE by completing work on time and with all work shown. She is proud of the math she is learning and willing to share her knowledge with others.
She shows her INDEPENDENCE as a self-starter and does not need to be reminded of what needs to be done in class. She is dependable, organized and follows through on all tasks.
RESPECT is developed and Atalya shows respect for her classmates and teach by listening to their ideas and valuing their input.
A positive mental ATTITUDE with a growth mindset is how she lives day-to-day. She is quick to smile and taking a positive approach with others around her.
Atalya gives he best EFFORT, working hard to complete tasks and follows the old adage "try, try again," is she doesn't get it the first time.
She is strong in her willingness to work with those needing help individually or as part of a team, with kindness and patience. Atalya is a great person to be around.
