Pomeroy Lady Pirate fans erupt in joy after Keely Maves swished a three pointer to tie the consolation-round game against DeSales 38-38, eventually winning 49-44 to advance to Saturday's state-berth contest in Dayton.

DAYTON–The Lady Pirates pulled off another heart-stopping overtime win–their fifth this season–to stay alive in the consolation round of the District 9 Tournament, all set to face Oakesdale Saturday at 5 p.m. for the number three spot at the State Tournament.

The game will tip off at the Dayton High School gym against the Lady Nighthawks, 41-40 winners over Sunnyside Christian in last Thursday's loser-out contest in the consolation bracket.
