POMEROY–The Pomeroy Homeschool Community met to create Valentines cards for Garfield County Hospital District (GCHD) elderly residents at a party on February 14.

The Pomeroy Homeschool Community, a group created to encourage homeschooling parents and children, created cards that were painted with watercolor paints, and homeschoolers used salt and wax to create special effects. The cards were taken to the GCHD, to be given to elderly patients.

Approximately 25 people attended the party, which included games and a Valentines exchange for the children.
