Adam S. Phelps, of Pomeroy, was convicted by jury, after a one-day trial, of Violation of a No Contact Order and Violation of an Anti-Harassment Order, both gross misdemeanor offenses. A sentencing hearing occurred on February 9, 2022 where Phelps was sentenced to 30 days of jail followed by 24 months unsupervised probation.

February 9, 2022

Klynn Lockard, of Pomeroy, pleaded guilty to the gross misdemeanor offense of Operating a Vehicle without an Ignition Interlock Device. Lockard was sentenced to three days jail, time served.

Connor R. Sumpter, of Richland, Wash., pleaded guilty to the gross misdemeanor offense of Physical Control of a Motor Vehicle while Under the Influence. Because Sumpter had a prior DUI conviction he was sentenced to a mandatory minimum sentence of: 30 days jail; $1,296 in legal financial obligations; an additional four days jail in lieu of electronic home monitoring; and must complete a substance abuse evaluation with treatment.


February 23, 2022

Robert J. Adams, of Pomeroy, pleaded guilty to the gross misdemeanor offense of Assault 4th Degree (DV). Adams was sentenced to 11 days jail; must pay $43; and must complete a treatment program.

Janna M. Toth, of Clarkston, pleaded guilty to the gross misdemeanor offense of Violation of Ignition Interlock Device Requirement. Toth was given credit for two days jail and fined $451.
