New city clerk-treasurer and sidewalk for the library

Knox Concrete contractors and crew went to work on the Denny Ashby sidewalk project last week. The new sidewalks will improve accessibility and accommodate patrons of the library.

POMEROY–The Pomeroy City Council announced the retirement of Shaun Martin as City Clerk and Treasurer, and the Complete Streets project update at the meeting on March 8.

Martin will retire in June and Diane Taylor will become the new City Clerk and Treasurer.

The Complete Streets Project has begun work on the Denny Ashby Library sidewalk. The contractors, Knox Concrete, will also replace other problem sidewalk areas. Also included in the project is fixing wiring on the light posts on Main Street.

The Council approved the street closure request for the Wine and Stein event.

Northwest Farm Credit Service has granted the City of Pomeroy $2,500. No allocation for the funds was announced.
