Lady Pirates drop first contest

ASOTIN–Elizabeth Ruchert hit a home run and teammates Keely Maves and Taylor Gilbert were notable batters, but the Lady Bucs dropped the 2022 Fast-Pitch season opener here 27-4.
Senior Maves went three of four at the plate, and fellow senior Ruchert and freshman Gilbert were both 1-3 against the tough Lady Panthers.
League play starts this Saturday at Gar-Pal with an 11 a.m. double bill. Pomeroy faces Liberty in a single-header Tuesday, March 29.
