Grant received for Fairgrounds sprinkler and electricity project

POMEROY–The Garfield County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) receives a grant from Washington State Fair Capital Grant fund, and approved Resolutions 2022-10 and 2022-11 at their meeting March 28.

It was announced the county received a Washington State Fair Capital Grant for $81,100, half of the $162,000 to complete the fairground irrigation and electrical. The county will provide a matching amount to cover the $162,200. Some of the funds used by the county will be American Rescue Plan Act funds.

The BOCC passed resolutions 2022-10 to create a budget supplement to accommodate a pay raise for the Civil Service Examiner, from $25 to $200 per month, and 2022-11 to validate the 2021 county departments’ inventory report. The board also passed a certification of the 2021 digital submittal report.
