POMEROY–The Garfield County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) signed a proclamation declaring April 10-16 as National Public Safety Telecommunicator’s Week at their meeting on April 11. The proclamation endorses Governor Jay Inslee’s statement to “recognize the important contributions of this dedicated group”. Commissioners Justin Dixon and Jim Nelson added their gratitude to the Garfield County telecommunicators.
The BOCC discussed options for additional parking space near the sale and show rings at the Garfield County Fairgrounds. Ideas put forth were reserving some space from the field, as well as widening the road between the barns and the field.
Due to lack of a quorum, there will be no County Commissioner meeting on April 25.
