POMEROY––In a rare occurrence, the Lady Pirates’ fast-pitch double header against Sunnyside Christian was snowed out on Thursday, April 14. That game has been rescheduled to Monday, May 9 in Pomeroy.

After the Lady Pirates’s meeting with DeSales last Tuesday, they Host Tekoa-Rosalia on April 26 for a 3 p.m. twin bill. The team travels to Prairie on April 27 for a nonleague double header and venture to Sunnyside for another nonleague matchup.

Earlier, the Lady Buccaneers had run roughshod over the Asotin Lady Panther Jayvees 22-8 on April 13. Pomeroy gathered up those 22 runs on just four hits, ending the game on the mercy rule after three innings.

Junior batter Kaylee Schmidt was one for two at the plate with one run batted in. Ruchert also had one hit in two appearances and counted two RBIs. Maves had a pair of RBIs on one hit. Nayely Larios also hit safely.
