May 12, 2022

POMEROY–Naslund Disposal will host a Spring Clean-up Day, Appliance and Tire Amnesty and Free Chipper Day at the old rock pit off Gould City-Mayview Road on Saturday, May 14 at 8 a.m.–2 p.m.

Household, appliance, tire and yard waste will be accepted at the old rock pit this Saturday between 8 a.m.–2 p.m. Items not on the list of accepted disposables are: hazardous waste, construction debris, or white goods such as appliances.

All waste needs to be in garbage bags. Appliance items such as dishwashers, hot water heaters, stoves, air conditioners, refrigerators, washer, dryers, and freezers will be accepted. Passenger tires should have rims removed and be free of dirt and water. NO truck or combine tires.

Clean yard and garden debris including pine needles, limbs and small logs (up to 15 inches) will be accepted. Loads that contain a lot of dirt, root balls or anything over 15 inches in diameter will be turned away. Leaves and pine needles maybe transported in garbage bags; however, you will empty the contents at the site and are then responsible for the empty bags.

For information, message Garfield County Recycling or call 843-3710; or contact Naslund Disposal at 1-800-958-5755.
