For the fourth consecutive meet both Pomeroy Junior High boys and girls track teams won the meet by points. The boys scored a season-high 162 points (2nd place Asotin scored 100) and the girls also scored a season-high 143½ points (2nd place Gar/Pal scored 118½).
“This is the third consecutive week that we have scored more points than the previous week,” said Coach Adam VanVogt. “To win both the boy’s and girl’s title at a meet is a very difficult accomplishment. To do it four meets in a row is an achievement I don’t remember any junior high team from any school doing-last 20 years. Great job team!”
Ashton Tucker set three personal best times in this meet. Ashton set bests-75-meter dash (12.25), the 100 (16.06), and the 400 (1:13). Personal records were also set by Levi Bowen in pole vault (9’), Michael Debord in long jump (9’8”), Oscar Dispenza-800 (3:40) and 1600 (7:13), Gabe Gephart-400 (1:32), Tyler Matheny-75 (10.0), Rory McKeirnan in pole vault (7’), Cayle Mullins-75 (13.94), Michealle Debord-100 (14.50), Carmen Fruh in pole vault (7’6”) and triple jump (25’9”), Tatum Jones-75 (12.16), Haven Kimble in long jump (11’3.5”), Atalya Mitchell-75 (12.23) and the 100 (16.15), Carolina Morfin in discus (38’7.5”) and javelin (65’4”), Kendyll Potoshnik in pole vault (6’6”), Hollie Van Vogt-75 (11.59) and pole vault (6’6”), and Molly Warren-200 (32.32) and triple jump (29’3”). Congratulations to all of these athletes who were able to beat their previous best times, marks, and heights!

Michael Thorson, Rory McKeirnan, Evan Thomas, Robby Van Vogt, Atalya Mitchell, Sophia Phelps, Michealle Debord, Lilly Weatherspoon, Carolina Morfin, Kendyll Potoshnik, and Reagan McKeirnan each placed in 3 events.
