Fun ahead for Summer Youth Program

POMEROY–The Quality Behavioral Healthy Families Coalition (QBH) is sponsoring the Summer Youth Program, free to local teens and pre-teens beginning June 15 at 9 a.m.

The QBH Summer Youth Program is a free, fun, and educational program for Pomeroy teens and pre-teens-those going into 7th grade and up. The program is on each Wednesday beginning Jun 15 through July 27. Participants will take the bus to fun activity destinations such as bowling and movies. In addition, they will receive an educational lesson from one of the partners.

Field trips will be made to the Clarkston Police Department and movie Theater on June 15; CSAP Pillars of Character and art uncorked on June 22; YWCA Healthy Relationships and Lancer Lanes on June 29: Budgeting, indoor movie and game day on July 6; Prevention and Pomeroy City Pool on July 13 and the Finale family night and Pomeroy City Pool on July 27.

Registration packets are available at [email protected], Meyers Ice Cream, Pomeroy Pharmacy, Pomeroy Medical Clinic, Pomeroy Elementary School, Denny Ashby Public Library and Pomeroy Partners office downtown.

Students going into grades 7, 8, 9, use the participant packets. Students going into grade 10, 11, 12 complete the Youth Leader packet. Completed packets can be emailed to Melody Darby at [email protected] or dropped off at 856 Main Street no later than June 10.
