WSU Winter Pea and Cereal Grain Variety Tour Scheduled for June 22 in Pomeroy

POMEROY–The annual WSU Crop Variety Tours will be held here on Wednesday, June 22 at 8:30 a.m. A discussion of Winter Peas as a rotational crop will be led by Sarah Hallyburton, WSU Crop and Soil Sciences Department graduate student; and Steve Van Vleet, WSU Extension Regional Agronomist. The Winter Pea Variety Plots are located West of Pomeroy off of Highway 12. Take a right at Vannaton Grade Road and proceed for approximately 2.1 miles.

The annual WSU Mayview Crop Variety Trial will begin at Tramway Road Northeast of Pomeroy at the Randy Koller Farm on Wednesday, June 2 at 10 a.m. Winter Wheat, Spring Wheat, and Barley Variety Trials will be featured. Variety trial discussions will be led by Clark Neely of the WSU Crop and Soil Sciences Department.
