Fire Department hires new part-time EMTs

POMEROY–The Garfield County Fire District board of commissioners passed a resolution to hire two part-time emergency medical technicians and discussed progress on the electrical renovation at their meeting on June 14.

Matthew Bauska and Chrissy Winger have been hired, Bauska as a part-time firefighter EMT and Winger as a part-time firefighter advanced EMT. Both have several years of previous experience as EMTs.

While the electrical system renovation to support a new HVAC system is still pending, the electrical panels have been replaced.
