POMEROY–The Port of Garfield County commissioners approved a procedures resolution, adopted a state-approved mileage rate, and discussed warehouse No. 3 at their meeting on July 19.
Resolution 2022-4 defines what public work and procurement procedures the Port follows, such as how to go out to bid and whether a project needs to be sent out to bid or done off the small works roster.
Commissioners voted to adopt the current state-approved mileage rate of 62.5 percent per diem to compute mileage reimbursement, effective as of July 1.
Warehouse No. 3 has roofing and structural issues. The commissioners discussed the advisability of repairing it or tearing it down. Tear down is estimated to cost $64,000 and repair between $60,000 and $70,000. Further decision upon the matter was postponed until quotes for repair bills have been received.
