POMEROY–The Garfield County Fire District board of commissioners authorized a contract signature and discussed a Ground Emergency Medical Transport report at their meeting on July 9.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training classes for the community started August 10. The facility and instructors can handle 10 students at a time. If more people want to take the classes, they will open a second one.
A community Emergency Medical Services contract has been sent to lawyers for review, and the commissioners authorized Commissioner Terry John to sign when it is approved.
The GEMT report consists of financial, run information for a year, and square footage reports. The report is for $57,000 reimbursement from Medicare and Medicaid.
