Pony Punchers 2022 season goes out with broomstick polo and costume night

Broomstick polo and a costume contest were the events at the final play-day of the 2022 season. In front, Evelyn Burnstad on Lightning and Karl Burnstad on Lassie battle for the inflatable ball while Sarah Scoggin on Chicka play goalie.

POMEROY-––The Pony Punchers held their final play-day of the 2022 season at the Garfield County Fairgrounds rodeo arena on October 3.

The Pony Punchers' play-day at the fairground arena included a costume contest, broomstick polo, ending the night's event with season cumulative point awards.

Lead-line champion was Katie Rose Burnstad, reserve Kevin Burnstad; 6-8 champion was Evelyn Burnstad; 9-12 champion was Karl Burnstad, reserve Peyton Newberg; 13-15 champion Sadie Klaveano; 16-18 champion Merritt Scoggin; Adult champion was Sarah Scoggin, reserve Westelle Scoggin.

Costume awards included Best, Laziest, Funniest, Most Elaborate, Spookiest, Cutest, Most Realistic, and Most Creative.

The Pony Punchers held play-days twice a month from June to August, took a break through September for the county fair, and held the final play-day in October.
