What Christmas Means to Me...My family is gitting the tree. We are going to decorate the tree and put the star on the top. When Chistmas comes I'm going to have a snow ball fight. On Chrismas I'm going to build a snowman.

Write about your holiday traditions that they look forward to each year.

By Nickolus Wiggins

Some of our family traditions are: putting Christmas lights on the tree. I open presents after Christmas Breakfast with my family. I love wrapping presents. I help wrap presents, too. And I love to help put up the lights also. I like to help my family buy things at the store to decorate the house we even have our own tree with the ornaments.

By Colton Davis

Do you have a holiday tradition? If you do put it on a paper like I do. One of my traditions is decorating with so many enormous snowmen and the tree and lights that glisten in the dark. Another tradition is decorating the tree. We put shining beads on the tree with hundreds of lights and also ornaments. The last tradition is our meals. We have all sorts of things. Tacos are magnificently nice to have!

By Blake Warren

Hi my name is Blake and here are some activities we do on Christmas. I like to go out for a tootle on a snowmobile in the mountains. Once I had an elf on the shelf but I kicked him out because he ate all of the brownies! He also made a huge mess in the bathroom. He wasted six rolls of useful toilet paper!

By Willow Rager

I have some favorite Christmas traditions. Every year we bake and decorate cookies. We decorate our tree and have sweet candy. Then we have a game of hide-and-seek.

By Alexis Lindgren

I'm sitting here wondering what your favorite tradition is. My top three are saran wrap ball, getting to go sledding, and getting my mom to make delicious Christmas pancakes. So you're probably wondering, what is a saran wrap ball. A saran wrap ball is where you have saran wrap and you buy stuff that is little and you put it on the saran wrap and make a ball. And you know how sledding goes. But we have an enormous barn and by our barn there is a tall hill and we climb it and sled down very quickly. Last but not least, getting my mom to make delicious Christmas pancakes. She gets the batter and pours it over the whole thing and makes it thick. She flips it and gets a cookie cutter and not just any, but Christmas ones. And the pushes it in the pancake. So those are my top three favorite traditions.

By Shaun Bingman

So, the first tradition our family does is we go to the mountains to hunt for the perfect Christmas tree. We don't want one too miniature to decorate and put ornaments on, or too enormous to put inside. Then we wait for all the snow and ice to thaw (which is a daily process and is hard to wait), then we start decorating the excellent sized tree. Then, me and my many other fellow 4-H members hop onto a float for the Christmas parade (Date: 11/26/2022) and toss candy at friends and family (and I somehow ran out of candy at the end of Main Street and I only threw 2 pieces of candy at the families)! And our last, but not least family tradition is when we get Advent Calendars on December 1st (about) every year, and what I like about it is the chocolate shapes, but what I don't like about it is that it's really hard to be patient on what all the chocolate figures are going to be shaped like (but my sister just ignored my parents by them telling her to not eat more than 1 a day and she shoved them all into her mouth in one day! And now she instantly regretted it because she is constantly begging for me to give her my chocolate all day long). And that is all the Christmas Traditions my family and I do.

By Aubree Ledgerwood

Do you have a Christmas tradition? Well, we do. This is what we do. My family likes to create reindeer food. We use oats and sparkly glitter. We also put our Christmas tree up. My family and I also go shopping for presents for our family.

By Josh Hastings

Do you have a Christmas tradition? My family does. We have elves and they hide. Every morning we find them. They usually come on December 1. Another tradition is we go to my grandma's and we open presents there. On Thanksgiving we put names in a hat and then draw a piece of paper and whoever you draw you have to get a present for that person. Another tradition is we make cookies, we get milk, too and put them on a plate for Santa. We also get carrots and put them on a plate for the reindeer.

By Brooklyn Ledgerwood

My favorite holiday traditions are building a snowman and making hot cocoa with a candy cane and whipped cream. Also, you can't forget mini marshmallows. It is my absolute favorite! Another tradition is to open presents with my family. I also love to listen to Christmas music and hear the bells jingle. Finally, I make reindeer food with my grandma. I put glitter in it so the reindeer can find it. We also love to make Gingerbread houses with my family. Merry Christmas!

By Emmerson Taylor

Hot cocoa is one of our family traditions. We always drink it by the fire in the mornings and we always drink it with candy canes and marshmallows. Sometimes we make a little cup of cocoa for our elves, Snowflake and Hulk. Another one of our Christmas traditions is opening presents with the family. I also love to go caroling with my 4-H Club!

By Lily Kelly

These are my family traditions. We set up the Christmas tree in the living room before Christmas. We open the presents. At my home and we have family time together. I see my papa. And have yummy food.

By Mackinzie Ledgerwood

Does your family have a Christmas tradition? My family has a few traditions. Our grandma gives our family an advent calendar every year. In the morning, we devour pancakes, sausage, and hashbrowns. We also open stockings and then we open presents. We always go to our grandma's house with our cousins and eat. We also open presents at our grandma's house.

By Hannah Lynn Fleming

My Holiday Traditions: One family tradition is sledding! We go sledding at the golf course. The hillock is where I spend time sledding. I have a sled that can turn left and right. It is unique because my father hand made it. When I am sledding down the hillock, I love to dodge the trees! So, it makes it tricky sledding down the hillock. One time I almost crashed into a tree! I still had fun! Another family tradition is going to choo choo park! There is a hillock with light up penguins at the top. My sister and I like to chase each other through the field of penguins! They have trees that have holes and we like to take pictures under the trees! There are trains that you can stand on and one of them has a bell. There is a line to pull a rope. The rope is connected to the bell and when you pull the rope the bell rings! The whole place is covered in lights and at night it looks so pretty! When we are tired and cold, we go get food and go home.

By Ellasyn Phelps

My Christmas traditions are opening one present on Christmas Eve. Another one is building a gingerbread house together, eating cinnamon rolls, and drinking hot cocoa on Christmas. My favorite part is making a gingerbread man. We also take turns opening presents on Christmas morning. We like to open our stockings very first. Another Christmas tradition is we go sledding on the big hills at the golf course on Christmas day, then we have hot cocoa with marshmallows!! And my most favorite thing is being with my family!

By Kitana DesJardin Vasquez

Jingle bell, Jingle bell, Jingle all the way! This is one of my holiday traditions, singing Christmas songs. Another is making eggnog, decorating the tree, watching our favorite Christmas movies. Three more things I LOVE to do are playing in the snow, using my Advent Calendar, and my all-time favorite is that we always go around and peek at all the lighted houses. The thing I love the most is jolly, cheerfulness, and the delight in the traditions!

By Collin Hames

There are many assorted traditions around the world. I have some that I like to celebrate. For example, my cousins and I go to my grandma's house. Almost every time we play board game. Sometimes we play my cousin's VR. On Christmas Eve, we leave cookies and milk for Santa. Those are some of my favorite family traditions during the holidays!

By Allie Gingerich

I have a couple of favorite traditions that I would like to share with you! The first thing I would like to share with you is that every year my mom gets all three of us an Advent Calendar to keep track of Christmas! The second thing is caroling. I love to go caroling with my 4-H Club! The third thing is I love making gingerbread houses! The fourth and last thing is that I love my aunt Kendra's Christmas dinner! The thing I love the most is her stuffing and brockamolie! Thank you for reading! And I almost forgot to tell you to have a Very Merry Christmas!!!!

By Karl Burnstad

Some of my favorite family traditions are decorating the house. Oh, it's so gorgeous once we finish. One other Christmas tradition is going to get our Christmas tree. Once we finish, it looks like I just walked into heaven. All of my family adore putting ornaments on our Christmas tree. But I have to say the most prized tradition of all is likely getting together with my whole family. I admire when we open stockings, then we open presents from mom and dad, and finally we go to our grama and grampa's house and rip open presents.

By Adrian Tornez Alvarez

I have some fun holiday traditions. I like to decorate the house. I put ornaments and lights on the Christmas tree. I like to open presents. I have fun in the snow! I like playing in the snow every weekend in Winter.

By Brayden McKeirnan

Merry Christmas Pomeroy! I will be telling you about my family traditions. We always go to the cabin. Here are the things we do. We go sledding, eat lots of food, play games and look for Bigfoot prints near the cabin with my cousins. Another tradition is that we make reindeer food for the reindeer. I hope you like my traditions. Oh, have a good Christmas Pomeroy.

By Teigen Anderson

I have a few special holiday traditions. They are spending time with family. Our grandma comes to our house and plays games with me. She hugs my mom, Talyn, and me. Ice-skating is another tradition. We go to Lewiston and we sign our names on the board. I go with my grandma and Talyn, because my mom doesn't like ice skating because she doesn't want to fall down. The last tradition is drinking hot cocoa while watching Christmas movies. We love watching Christmas Chronicles 1 and 2.

These are two of my favorite family traditions. One is that every year we go up to the mountains and pick out a tree but that's not my favorite part. My favorite part is when we play in the cold frosty snow. We have snowball fights every time and this year and last year we walked across the frozen rock pond! It was so slippery and then we get the perfect tree and decorate it with all of our glimmering ornaments and lights. It's so pretty and makes the house smell like the snowy pine mountains. My second favorite tradition is playing with my grandma's elf on the shelf. But one year Ellie touched it and we had to lightly sprinkle sugar on it so it could have it's magic back. It is so fun every year! PS. it poops out M&Ms™

Dilan Bingman

Do you have Christmas traditions? Well, I do. One of the things is going outside and watching the glistening snowflakes falling down to the ground. Another tradition is putting up the Christmas tree. The last one is making Christmas tree cookies.

By Treyton Kimble

Dear Santa,

Here are three reasons why I should be on the nice list. First I take the trash out when I'm supposed to. Second, I have only A's and B's in school, especially math which I'm good at.Third I feed the dogs when I am told to.

My First reason is that I take the trash out. And I take it out when it's full. I take it out when I'm told to. And I put a new bag in.

My second reason is that I have only A's and B's. And I work hard at school. I pay attention at school. And I know stuff.

My third reason is that I feed the dogs. And I check their food just to make sure. I open new dog food bags. And I also take care of them.

Yeah but, I may have fought with my brother. But I said I was sorry and it was all good. And I haven't done anything since.

Hopefully these three reasons convince you to put me on the nice list. My first reason is that I take out the trash. My second reason is I have only A's and B's. My third reason is that I feed the dogs.

Sincerely, Treyton Kimble

By Talyn

Dear Santa,

These are three reasons why I deserve to be no santa nice list:

I do the dishes for my mom. Sometimes I will empty out the dishwasher after they are clean. I can help my mom put them away if she needs help. Some times after dinner I will clean off my plate and rinse them off.

I mow the lawn if my dad tells me to sometimes if I try to make is look decent so I can get it done faster and so I can do stuff with friends. I would empty out the bag but we don't use it. sometimes if I am not lazy I will sweep of the sidewalk or take the lawn mower.

For school work I make sure all my papers are turned in. I have ok grades. I help Donavyn on problems. If I have time I will put my name on it but if you dont you will lose half of the percent. Sometimes if I focus I have neat handwriting.

I can only think of one time when I was naughty. It was when I was nine I touched the elf on the shelf and he was gone for 3 years and my little sister was mad at me.

That is the reason why I think I deserve to be on the nice list I mow the lawn when my mom tells me to and I help with my baby brother.

Sincerely, Talyn

By Shantae

Dear Santa,

3 reasons I deserve to be on Santa's nice list:

● I'm kind

● I'm grateful

● I'm nice to my friends

Reason 1,

I helped clean the playground, the whole house, and I even gave a kid some candy when he didn't have any.

Reason 2,

I only get 1 piece of candy each day, don't get exactly what I want, and I don't get what everybody gets.

Reason 3,

I help my friends if they get hurt, if they have a rough day we talk about it, and if they want something I might get it for them.

Something I did that was naughty, I stole a piece of chocolate from my mom but I bought a new one. I'm kind, grateful, and nice to my friends so I should be on the nice list.

Sincerely, Shantae

By Owen

Dear Santa,

These are my three reasons why I should be on the nice list. No.1 I am really nice to people. No. 2 I clean our house. No. 3 I have good grades.

No. 1 I am nice. I say please and thank you when I am getting my food. I am very cooperative when people ask me to do something, I do it. I give people opportunities, like I pass in basketball.

No. 2 I clean our house. When my mom asks me to do something like sweeping or vacuuming, I do it. If my room is dirty, I clean it. When my brother needed help cleaning his house, I helped.

No. 3 My grades. I have doubled my AR reading goal which was 25 points. I always try my best and work as hard as I can. I get my work done on time.

I guess one time I was reading when I was supposed to get my work done. But, I stopped doing that because I don't like getting in trouble.

I am nice, I have good grades, and I clean house are my three reasons why I should be on the nice list.

Sincerely,

Owen

P.S. Stop picking favorites Santa!!

By Mellany Lara

Dear Santa,

Here are 3 reasons why I should be on the nice list: I feed my dog. I do my homework. I keep my room clean.

Reason one I feed my dog so that my grandma doesn't have to. I feed my dog so that my dog doesn't starve. I feed my dog so that my dog will be happy.

Reason two I do my homework so that it's not late. I do my homework so that I don't have to do it early in the morning at school. I do my homework so that I won't worry about it.

Reason three, I pick up my stuffed animals. I pick up my messes. I put away my books.

One time I back talked to my grandma. I apologized and I will try not to do it again. I hope she forgave me.

So I think I should be on the nice list. By me feeding my dog, doing my homework, and by keeping my room clean. So I hope you put me on the nice list.

Sincerely,

Mellany Lara

By Marcos

Dear Santa,

Reason 1. After school chores

Reason 2. Take care of little brother

Reason 3. Not bothering older brother

Reason 1's example: after school I fold all of my family members' clothes nicely, I take out the trash without being told, and I mow the lawn.

Reason 2's example: I feed my lil brother when he's hungry, I check on him when he is quiet and alone, whenever he's bleeding I grab him a band aid.

Reason 3's example: so most of the time I go in his room while he's playing a game and mess him up so I don't go in his room, don't piggy back ride him, and the reason I annoy my brother is because I'm mostly bored all the time [except if I have homework].

This part is where I've been naughty, so one time I went shopping with my parents and they were both talking to a stranger and I tried to get my parents attention but they wouldn't pay attention. So I grabbed a soda from the store, shook it up, and threw it on the ground. The bottle went flying leaving me wet in soda and got grounded for 1 month. So I will never EVER do that again.

But again here Is the stuff I did to be on the nice list.

Reason 1: again I do after school chores.

Reason 2: I take care of my little brother.

Reason 3: I don't annoy my older brother when I'm annoyed.

Sincerely,

Marcos

By Lincoln Lovgren

Dear Santa,

I should be on the nice list because I get good grades, I help my parents wash cars during summer and I help around the house.

My first reason, I get A's and B's. For the most part I get good grades.

My second reason is I wash my parents' cars. It helps them out and I clean the horse trailer out after we use it.

My third reason is l mow the lawn for my parents. It lets our dog out to run around and I feed the animals.

On time I was bad when I got F's, but I fixed it by getting more A's.

Those are my reasons why I should be on the nice list.

Sincerely,

Lincoln Lovgren

By Kennedy Cannon

Dear Santa,

Here are 3 reasons why I deserve to be on Santa's nice list because I feed the animals, I do the dishes, and I do the laundry.

First, I feed the animals when I come home from school. I feed them everyday so my brother doesn't have too. I will do it when the weather is hot or cold.

Next, I always do the dishes after dinner or before. I do the dishes everyday. I also do them when I am told it doesn't matter what I am doing.

Also, I help out with clothes when I need to. I do them when my mom has stuff to do. I fold clothes very nicely.

Lastly, I might yell at my Brother sometimes but I am better now. I only do it when my brother is being mean or rude, so technically I am just defending myself!

I feed the animals, do the dishes, and do the laundry everyday so I think I deserve to be on the nice list please!

Sincerely,

Kennedy Cannon <3

Dear santa,

I deserve to be on the nice list because I help mom bake cookies, cupcakes, and pies.

I know this year I yelled but I made sure to say sorry.

Love,

By Kaelynn

Dear Santa,

These are my three main reasons I should be on the nice list: I keep my room clean, I do my homework, and I go to bed on time.

I keep my room clean. I pick up my clothes in my room. I make my bed every morning. And feed my fish when I get up.

I do my homework. I do my homework when I'm told. I do it if I don't finish in class. And I practice to get better.

I go to bed on time every night at 8:00. I dont stay up late except for weekends. I don't make loud noises when I stay up late.

The one time I was naughty was when I didn't go to bed till 12:00. It was on a school night. I only did it once, and I never did it again.

Keeping my room clean, doing my homework, and going to bed on time is why I should be on the nice list.

Sincerely,

Kaelynn

By Josiah

Dear Santa,

These are my three reasons why I deserve to be on Santa's nice list. I do the dishes, I help my sisters, and I also take care of my pets and steers.

My first reason is I do the dishes. I rinse the dishes then put them in the dishwasher. Then I unload the dishwasher and put the dishes where they belong so they are ready to use.

My second reason is that I help my sisters. I help my sisters with their homework if they don't get it. I also help them with video games because they are not very good at them and I think I am good at them.

My third and final reason is that I take care of animals. I feed the dogs and the fish. I also water the dogs. And last but not least I feed my steer and sometimes my sisters steers too.

Yeah but, I sometimes tell my sisters the wrong answer. In a game, so whatever challenge we are doing I can get a head start.

These are my three main reasons why I should be on the nice list. I hope you consider them.

Sincerely,

Josiah

By Heather

Dear Santa,

I have 3 reasons why I deserve to be on the nice list. I take care of my dog all the time, I keep most of my grades in the 80%-100% on average, and I've only been grounded once.

Penny, my dog, is technically my dad's as well, but I take care of her. I'm the only one who stops what I'm doing to help her. She almost always responds to me or my voice.

In my whole report card (so far) I only have one "F". I think my most common grade is a "B+". I only have two to three "Ds"

The reason I was grounded was very small. It was only for one or two weeks. I also got ungrounded very quickly.

Yeah, I scolded Penny for something small but wouldn't do it again. What she did could have led to a very bad habit.

Since I take care of my dog, keep my grades up, and have only been grounded once, I think I should be on the nice list.

Sincerely,

Heather

By Giselle

Dear Santa,

I deserve to be on your nice list. And here are my reasons: I help my mom out, I make food for my family, and I clean my room when asked. I'm not always doing these chores/activities a whole ton but at least I help my mom out, I clean, and I make food for the family.

And some examples are, I go help my mom clean the library, I also help clean Dye Seed, and I help around the house. Sometimes I don't want to clean but I don't have a choice. Sometimes I have to clean the whole house to hangout with my friends.

Next I make cookies, pasta, and enchiladas so my family can think of me as a nice person so they buy me the best presents on any holiday. Cooking and baking is one of my favorite activities to do in my spare time like sometimes I bake treats with my sister for church and also for special occasions.

My last but not least reason is I pick up my clothes, I make my bed once in a while, and I vacuum my room when i'm done cleaning. My sisters are the problem. The room is always a mess. I share a room with my 2 other siblings so the room is sometimes messy.

The one time I was the naughtiest was when we were at Disneyland this summer and we went to our hotel to rest and we were going to go swim and my mom asked for a water and she said I had to pay for it but I said I had no money when I did so she ended up buying it herself. She also said we had to buy our own food and drinks and I said I wasted all my money so she ended up buying me a whole ton of stuff!

Santa, I deserve to be on your nice list this Christmas because I help my mom out, I make food for the family, and I clean my room.

Sincerely,

Giselle

By Donavyn

Dear Santa,

Here are 3 reasons why I should be on the nice list:

First, I should be on the nice list because all of the things that I want for christmas everybody in my family can use. Another reason is that I play sports. The last reason is that I'm a good citizen.

First thing is that everything I want for christmas my whole family and everybody outside my family can use. I want a new xbox, my brother's xbox recently broke so I'm going to give him my new one or my old one. Another thing I want is that I want a new four-wheeler because my dirtbike got stolen. My dad loves four-wheelers so he can ride it too.

Now I'm going to list some good things I did this year. First I helped my friend Treyton get up in basketball. I didn't just help Treyton get up, I helped a lot of people get up after they fall in basketball. Another thing I did well was that I helped Treyton and a bunch of other people get up in football like Josiah, Owen, Colton and a bunch of other people. Another reason is that in basketball I helped Kale get up when he got fouled by Braxton, and fell.

Things I did well this year. First, I held the door for a lady and a guy when they were going into the church. Another reason is that I helped my brother down the stairs because he went up them and he needs help getting down. Another reason is that I helped my grandma up the stairs when she had her hip replaced so I helped her do things around the house.

Sincerely,

Donavyn

By Colton Field

Dear Santa,

3 reasons why I should be on the nice list are:

● I play with my sister.

● I help take care of my 1,2,3, and 4 year old cousins.

● When my mom needs help with dinner I will help her without her asking.

Reason 1: I play with my sister.

When my parents are busy I play with my little sister. When my little sister is sad I offer to play. When we are bored we will maybe play a board game.

Reason 2: I help take care of my little cousins.

On holidays when they come over to our place I help keep them busy. I help keep them from falling down the stairs. When they are sad I attempt to cheer them up and just chill.

Reason 3: I will help mom with dinner without her asking.

I stirred the soup while mom made other things. I whisked the batter while mom went to the store. I also set the table when it is time.

A time when I was naughty was when I shot my sister with a NERF gun. I did say sorry though. Do you still think that I should be on the nice list?

The three reasons why I should be on the nice list are: I play with my sister, I help take care of my little cousins, and I help my mom with dinner. I think that those are some good reasons why I should be on the nice list.

Sincerely,

Colton Field

By Chance Savage

Dear Santa,

Here are a few reasons why I should be on the nice list:

1: I do the dishes.

2: I watch my brother.

3: rake the leaves.

First, I do the dishes when I am told, so I do not get in trouble. I put the dishes away when there is nothing to do. The most important thing is to put them where they go.

Second, I watch my brother when my parents are busy. When they are cleaning or cooking dinner for us. When he comes into my room I have to watch him so he does not choke.

Lastly, I will tell you about raking leaves. I rake the leaves when my yard looks like garbage. Also, I do it when I am told. I do it when it is dry because you can't do it when it's frozen.

Yeah, but when I am back talking I won't get to do anything! So I wont do it again.

I do everything I am told so I can do fun things.

Sincerely,

Chance Savage

Dear Santa,

These are some reasons I should be on the nice list.

One reason is that I always share with my friends. Whenever they ask for gum I usually give them some. At lunch if I don't want some of my food I give it to them. And if they ever come to my house I always let them use my stuff.

Another reason is I am responsible. I always remember to feed my pets, unlike my sister. I keep my room clean too. I always do my work and get it done on time. Even if I am busy or have games. My grades are pretty good.

The last reason is because I help my parents. I help my mom when she asks. I do some chores like unload the dishwasher, feed my pets and vacuum. Usually I don't complain when my parents tell me to do it.

But, I have been bad a few times. I call my sister names and hit her and throw her around. Sometimes she deserves it. But I can try not to do that anymore. It will be hard but I will try my best.

Those are the reasons I should be on the nice list. I am responsible, I share with my friends and I help my parents. I hope you will put me on the nice list this year.

Sincerely,

Camryn

Dear Santa,

I deserve to be on your nice list because I am nice and kind, I help my family, and feed the animals. I can help people that I know and take care of my family. I help my mom cook tacos for dinner. The way I help my family is to help feed the chickens and bunnies.

I know that I was sometimes naughty this year when I snapped at my brothers but now I'm patient. I can be kind, helpful and take care of the animals and my family.

Sincerely, Brenna McKeirnan

Dear Santa,

Here is some reasons I should be on the nice list: When my sister was sad, I hugged her. Additionally, I make my family feel better when they are sad. Also, I do my homework.

Here are some examples from this year: First, I became friends with Owen & Saih (they used to be mean to me, but now we're friends.) When my mom couldn't walk to make her own lunch I made it for her. Also,I did my math homework without help and mom was proud.

Here are some more examples: When my sister was sad because I hurt her, I said sorry. I help my mom by making dinner. I do my work in school so no one has to deal with me.

Here are the last 3 reasons: I do my chores daily, and I don't give guff when I need to do them. I don't fight over homework. I also used to steal but I don't anymore.

So that proves that I should be on the nice list because I hugged my family when they were sad, helped my mom, and did my homework.

Sincerely,

Ben Carroll
