POMEROY–The Pomeroy School District (PSD) Board of Directors hired softball coaches and discussed changes to the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) district regions, according to the minutes of their February 27 meeting.

PSD hired Lexi Beale as head softball coach and Elizabeth Ruchert as assistant softball coach.

The WIAA regions are undergoing changes. District 9, of which Pomeroy is currently a part, will be combining with districts 7 and 8 to form district 6. These changes will only affect post-season play; league play will remain unchanged. More changes are expected to develop.
