SUNNYSIDE–A double header at Sunnyside Christian counted two losses for the Lady Pirate Fast-pitch squad, but the Bucs performed much better in the second game, moving six runners across home plate. The Lady Pirates dropped the first game 15-0 and lost the second 16-6. Losses to Kendrick and Genesee last week

Pomeroy played Dayton-Waitsburg on March 28 at home and will face Liberty Christian Friday, for a home double bill prior to Spring Break.

"The girls really brought it back in the second game," commented Head Coach Lexi Beale, pointing to two baggers from KayLee Schmidt and Kendyll Potoshnik. "The Lady Pirates worked hard and are continuing to work and improve with each game."

The Genesee Lady Bulldogs blew to a 32-1 win here March 23, and Kendrick notched 12-0 ad 15-0 wins March 21.

Sunnyside Christian poured ten runs across in the second inning on its way to a three-inning, 15-0 decision, then combined for nine runs in the third and fourth innings for a 16-6 tilt.

Caroline McKeirnan and Hannah Bagby counted for Pomeroy's two hits in the first game and the 11 second-game hits were by Taylor Gilbert (3), Schmidt, Warren, Field, Altube, Potoshnick (2) and Gingerich (2).

In the 16-6 loss, Schmidt counted two RBIs and McKeirnan, Warren, Field, Potoshnick and Gingerich had one each.

Genesee had a 13-1 lead going into the fourth inning March 23 in Pomeroy, and added 13 more runs, then six more in the fifth for the 32-1 win on 27 hits. Pomeroy had hits by Bagby and Potoshnick, and Gilbert scored on an Izzy Field RBI.

On March 21, Kendrick counted seven fourth-inning runs for a 12-0, five-inning win, then walked away with a 15-0 win in the nightcap.

Clara Jentz smacked a single in the first game.
