Rain prevented Spring Farming Days from moving forward in the morning. Horses and mules waited at their trailers or in the horse arenas while the field dried. Spectators took advantage of the Eastern Washington Agricultural Museum and lunch.

POMEROY–The Spring Farming Days was delayed due to wet ground at the Garfield County Fairgrounds on April 1 and 2.

Recent rains imposed a halt to farming activities in the hay field when deemed too wet to plow on Saturday morning. Horses and mules waited at their trailers or in the horse arenas while the field dried. Plowing began in the afternoon with the horse and mules teams. Farming was finished on Sunday by tractor.

The Eastern Washington Agricultural Museum buildings were open for touring and featured live demonstrations of rope making as well as a player piano.

Blue Mountain Artisan Guild held an exhibition in the Dick Brown building, where lunch was also served.
