Severs and Magill hurl back-to-back perfect games

Ollie Severs pitched five innings of perfect baseball in a 14-0 win over Garfield-Palouse on April 25, striking out eight and getting excellent defensive support from his team with seven outs. The Pirates clobbered eight hits and rang up 11 fourth-inning runs for the win.

GARFIELD–Pirate pitchers threw back-to-back perfect games here against Garfield-Palouse on April 25, winning 14-0 and 18-0 and getting poised for post-season play.

The Pirates are 8-6 in league and sit in fourth place, and depending on how the Touchet Redhawks do this week at SJEL, Pomeroy could be in like Flynn or, if 6-6 Touchet sweeps SJEL, would have a play-in game for the fourth seed. An...
