Candidate filing begins May 15

POMEROY–Candidate filing period begins in-person or online May 15-19, 2023 at the Garfield County Auditor's office during business regular hours of 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-5 p.m. By mail registration began May 1 and will end May 19.

Those who are planning to run for an open position can register beginning Monday and Friday, May 15–19, 2023. To file online, go to http://voter.votewa.gov/candidatefiling/candidatelogin.aspx. In–person filing can be done at the Garfield County Auditor's office from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-5 p.m. Filings by mail started May 1 and will end May 19.

Positions on the ballot this year are: City of Pomeroy Mayor, 4-year, current office holder is G. Paul Miller; City of Pomeroy Council Position 1, 4-year, incumbent K. Mike Cassetto; City of Pomeroy Council Position 2, 4-year, James F. Fuch; City Council Position 3, 4-year, Adam Hodges; City Council Position 5, 2-year, Susie Bowles; Fire District No. 1 Commissioner at Large 3, 6-year, Gary Bowles; Hospital District No. 1 Board Commissioner 3, 6-year, Steven Cannon; School District No. 110 Board Director Position 1, 4-year, Jennifer Dixon; School District No. 110 Board Director Position 1, 4-year, Bart Gingerich; School District No. 110 Board Director Position 3, 4-year, Ashley Koller; School District No. 110 Board Director at Large Position 5, 4-year, Allison McKeirnan; No. 2 Port of Garfield District No. 2 Position 2, 6-year, Matt Herres.
