The Garfield County Fair enjoyed sunshine and laughter like that which comes from these youngsters who were having a blast with the Balloon Man. There was something for everyone at this year's fair: food, fresh air, livestock, music, history, demonstrations...the list goes on and on. Susie Bowles was honored as the 2023 Garfield County Fair Hall of Fame for her volunteerism not only in the community of Pomeroy, but with the fair. The Garfield County Fair is just one place Bowles' commitment to Pomeroy and Garfield County shines. From nursing, voluntarily serving as the school Community Care Coordinator, City Council member, to managing the Food Bank and of course the Fair, she serves up a giant slice of care, consideration, and genuine interest in ensuring every life she touches is made better. Susie leaves a positive impact everywhere she goes.
