Cheerleaders keeping the Pomeroy Pirate rooting section loud and supportive were also sporting pink attire to raise awareness for breast cancer prevention this week in Pomeroy. Some of the cheering contingent included Sidney Wolf, Peyton Newberg, Myka Horal and Daphne Waldher, in the front row, and the three furthest to the right in the back row are Nola Claassen, Allie Gingerich and Allie Van Vogt. Numerous others were pitching in with lots of cheering and commotion as the Pirates downed the DeSales Irish 44-22.
