PATAHA–The All-Church Community Thanksgiving dinner, sponsored by the Garfield County Ministerial Association will be held at Pataha Flour Mill on Sunday, November 19, at 5:30 p.m.

POMEROY–Hometown Christmas activities, the annual Starlight Christmas Parade, and “Pictures with Santa” Friday, November 24 at 9 a, m. Staging begins at the High School Parking lot at 4 p.m.

Pesticide recertification

CLARKSTON–Washington State University (WSU), University of Idaho (UI)I and Oregon State University (OSU) Extension are hosting a “Last Chance” Pesticide Recertification Credit Program in Clarkston, Wash., on Friday, December 8 from 8:45 a.m. to 12 p.m., and from 1– 3 p.m.

County elections offices receive suspicious envelopes

OLYMPIA—Envelopes received by elections offices in King, Pierce, Skagit, and Spokane counties were found Wednesday to contain unknown powdery substances. Each impacted county’s elections workers evacuated their offices…Local, state, and federal authorities are investigating the incidents, which occurred while workers were processing ballots from the Nov. 7 General Election.
