Christopherson new pastor of Pomeroy Church of the Nazarene

Pastor Stan Christopherson

POMEROY–The Pomeroy Church of the Nazarene welcomes Rev. Stan Christopherson to the pulpit and community.

Christopherson comes to Pomeroy fresh off the mission field of Zagreb, Croatia. He was born and raised in Fort Worth, Tex. and graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry. In 2004 he graduated seminary with a master's degree and moved to Bonner's Ferry, where he pastored for 17 years as well as teaching science in both public and private schools. During this time he also received his doctorate from the seminary.

In 2022 Christopherson moved his family to Zagreb, Croatia, where he served in the mission field for a year and a half, before moving to Pomeroy upon their return to the States.

"My wife and I love small towns. The connections, interactions, this is where we feel called to be," Christopherson said. He and his wife Aimee have four children. "We are excited to be here and get to meet the people of the community. We already feel welcomed and excited for the days ahead," Christopherson said.
