New programs to start March 1

February 15, 2024

POMEROY–The Garfield County Hospital District Board of Commissioners discussed their tele-nephrology and dialysis programs, construction on the electrical project, and a dietary freezer installation that was funded by the Harold and Helen Shepherd Foundation at their meeting on February 5.

The tele-nephrology and dialysis programs are scheduled to begin on March 1. They will be marketed regionally, to a wider customer base than previous marketing programs.

Work on the electrical project paused over the holidays, but has resumed. The work will be continued during breaks from inclement winter weather.

The dietary freezer at the Garfield County Memorial Hospital has been replaced, thanks to a grant from the Harold and Helen Shepherd Foundation. Cost of the replacement was $12,103.
