POMEROY–Innovia Foundation will partner with the Pomeroy Spinners and Twisted Wire Coffee to bring the Annual Easter Egg Hunt to the community at the Crystal Springs Golf Course and Lybecker Football Field on March 30 at 3 p.m. The award comes in the form of refreshments for those attending the event, and an eventual kitchen remodel.

As a volunteer-driven service organization, the Pomeroy Spinners has held and promoted community events since the 1970s highlighting needs, community services, and fundraise for regional projects and scholarships. The organization also sponsors other events for participants of Garfield County and beyond, including the Broomstick Pool Tournament, a free annual community Thanksgiving and the community Easter Egg Hunt.

There are approximately 4,500 Easter eggs making this year's Easter Egg Hunt filled with joy and excitement for children aged 0-12. The course will involve Lybecker Football Field for ages 0-2, and the golf course for all other age groups at 30-minute increments for start times based on age. (0-2; 3-5; 6-8; and 9-12). In addition, Innovia Foundation will partner with Twisted Wire Coffee in Pomeroy to provide free cookies, hot chocolate, and coffee for all attendees.

In addition to providing free refreshments at the event, Innovia Foundation will award the Spinners a grant for the Spinners Hall community kitchen remodel. This investment is part of a series of events and activities Innovia is gifting to communities across Eastern Washington and North Idaho in celebration of the Foundation's 50th Anniversary in 2024.

"The Spinners can't wait to see all of the smiling faces on hundreds of children in a few short weeks, said President Tanner Cranor. "Our relationship we have developed with Innovia over the last year will come full circle. We have seen the truly remarkable things they have done for small communities in the Pacific Northwest. Now we will get to show them how we support our community with one of our biggest events. Innovia's commitment to small communities, like ours, is second to none."

Celebrating Community in 2024

Together with media partner NonStop Local KHQ, Innovia is Celebrating Community, a year-long, region-wide celebration of the volunteers, citizens and organizations that have faithfully served the needs of communities for 50 years in Eastern Washington and North Idaho. Each month, Innovia will gift the region with free, inclusive, family-friendly activities and experiences to commemorate the Foundation's past, present and future of bringing people together to transform lives and communities. Event details will be released at the beginning of each month throughout 2024.

50th Anniversary Calendar of Events

In addition to Innovia-sponsored community events, the Foundation has launched an online calendar where individuals and organizations can submit information about celebrations and activities in their community. The calendar is open to any events within the Foundation's region that are free or low-cost, family-friendly and have a broad community appeal. Calendar entries can be submitted at innovia.org/fifty.

Photo Drawing

Community members who attend Innovia-sponsored community events this year are invited to submit their photos from the event for a chance to win a photo drawing. Winners will be selected in March, June, September, and December to receive a $250 grant to a nonprofit of their choice. Entries can be submitted by posting photos on Instagram with the hashtag #innoviacelebratescommunity or by submitting through an online form.
