Lady Pirates hit well but lose pair to Asotin

POMEROY––The Lady Pirates battled the Lady Panthers of Asotin High but came up short in both games of the season-opening double header here Tuesday.
Asotin win the opening game 25-13 in spite of a good showing at the plate by the Lady Pirates, said Head Coach Alexis Coleman.
"The Pirates had great batting in the first game with Taylor Gilbert having two doubles, Izzy Field one double, as well as Carolyn McKeirnan," Coleman commented.
"The Pirates came out swinging and battled hard today," she added. "I'm excited to see how the rest of the season goes."
