With an energetic blast, hordes of Easter Egg hunters launched from the starting line in search of that elusive golden egg which would mean a brand new bicycle for the lucky child -EW photos by Naomi Scoggin

POMEROY–The Pomeroy Spinners Club's 17th annual Easter egg hunt was held at Lybecker Field and Crystal Springs Golf Course on Saturday, March 30.

Thanks to donations from the community that totaled $9,000, the hunt consisted of 7,000 eggs that were redeemed for prizes, including Easter baskets, games, sports balls, and scooters. Each age group had a single golden egg that was redeemed for the grand prize of a bicycle.

Twisted Wire Café and the Innovia Foundation provided free cookies, coffee, and cocoa to the egg hunters and their families. The Easter Bunny roamed through the festivities, providing candy, hugs and pictures to the kids.
