Lady Wildcats claw Lady Pirates

April 4, 2024

COLTON–The Lady Pirates kept swinging but the Colton Lady Wildcats out swung 'em, romping to two lop-sided wins here March 29. The Bucs start the second half of the season April 9 with a home game. They host Gar-Pal for a twin bill April 13.

"The girls did well on the field and kept swinging," said Coach Alexis Beale.

"Taylor Gilbert and Kendyll Potoschnick had doubles and Hannah Bagby had an over-the-fence home run!" Beale said.

Molly Warren started in the circle for the Lady Pirates and was relieved by Bagby in the third inning, both caught by Kendyll Potoschnick.

Bagby had two hits and two RBIs, and K. Potoschnick's double counted for Pomeroy's hits.

In the nightcap, the highlight was the two-run home run by Bagby. Gilbert counted two hits as did K. Potoschnick.
