Bartels finishes sixth at Wildhorse

PENDLETON– Pirate golfer Kiersten Bartels finished in sixth place in a field of 30 with a score of 104 when the Pirate Golf team traveled to Pendleton, Ore., this Monday to compete in the Nels Nelson Invitational Tournament at Wildhorse Resort Golf Club.

Reggie Ott had the low score for the Pomeroy boys at 101, with Grayson Slaybaugh right behind at 102. Eighth grader, Tyler Dixon continues to improve with 115.

Seventy-eight players from twelve of the largest schools in eastern Oregon and Washington.

"All in all, it was a good outing for the kids, among some stiff competition," commented Head Coach Al Damron.

Next up for the Pirates is a league match at Dayton on April 11.
