Lady Pirates rally for 10-run win in nightcap

POMEROY––The Lady Vikings rapped the bats and scored steadily to register a 14-8 league win here Saturday, April 13, then the Lady Pirates rallied with a 12-run third inning to even the score with Gar-Pal. Pomeroy is 2-10 on the season, 0-4 in league.

Garfield-Palouse's strong hitting combined with a handful of Lady Pirate errors to tilt the game to the Lady Vikings, who rode big third and fourth innings to with win. Pomeroy bats were quiet until the last innings when the team managed four points in the fifth and two in each of the sixth and seventh innings.

In the second game, whoa! Look out! The Lady Pirates clobbered the ball, putting up 12 hits to Gar-Pal's six and slashing in 12 runs in the third inning to cut the game short via the mercy rule.

The Lady Wildcats visited on April 9 and rode the bus home with an 18-2 win. Only Kendyll Potoshnik, Taylor Gilbert and Hannah Bagby were able to muster hits against Colton's Moechile in the circle.
