Eight Pomeroy/Asotin students receive Shepherd Foundation Scholarships

WALLA WALLA–The Walla Walla Community College Foundation announce the Harold and Helen Shepherd Foundation scholarship recipients for 2024-25.

The scholarships honor the generosity of Harold and Helen Shepherd who were active civic leaders in Garfield County. The recipients are Jayson Bartles, Kelly Castellanos, Kiley Davis, Nicholas Hastings, Brodie Magill, Neosha Ren, Lacee Sanford, and Timothy Sigmon. The scholarships will provide these students the opportunity to pursue their educational dreams at Walla Walla Community College this fall.

The Harold and Helen Shepherd Foundation scholarship fund was established in 1987 to better the lives of people in Eastern Washington, with a primary focus on Garfield County.

The WWCC Foundation exists to eliminate financial barriers to students’ educational dreams. We raise, manage, and grant financial support to assure student access, equity, and educational excellence at Walla Walla Community College. Generous support from across the community, the WWCC Foundation is pleased to award more than $600,000.00 in student scholarships and emergency assistance to hard-working WWCC students in 2024-25.
