"Adventure Begins at Your Library" Summer Reading Program

POMEROY–The Denny Ashby Library presents "Adventure Begins at Your Library" summer reading program registration will begin June 6.

Registration for Denny Ashby Library's summer reading program, Adventure Begins at Your Library, will begin Thursday, June 6. The library will be open from 12:30–7:30 p.m. to kick off the program, and participants have until June 27 to sign up. Those who registers on the June 6 will have an opportunity to win a t-shirt or small prize. There is a version for everyone (children, teens, and adults).

To participate, children who are pre-readers through incoming 6th graders set a goal for the number of books they plan to read (or have read to them) during the 11 weeks of summer vacation. A prize is awarded at the halfway point and those who complete their goals will be awarded a coupon for ice-cream at Meyers Hardware and the opportunity to choose a book for the library's collection. A bookplate is placed inside honoring the reader's success.

Teen and adult participants play "Adventure Bings at Your Library Bingo" for a chance to win one of four $50 cash prizes.
