emerPOMEROY– Jim McKeirnan was presented with his Quilt of Valor on Easter Sunday, April 14. The special token of honor was made by Sharon Ruchert and quilted by Alice Gwinn. McKeirnan was awarded his quilt at his home in celebration with his wife Linda, all but one of his children and grandchildren. McKeirnan served in the Army Reserves for eight years, six of those active. He was drafted into the army for the Vietnam War, but he was never called for the physical or basic training. He later joined the Reserves and went to basic training, then AIT training. He served in the Reserves from 1966 to 1974.
