Master Gardener Training Classes begin on Feb. 4

December 26, 2019

CLARKSTON–Washington State University (WSU) and University of Idaho (UI) Extension will offer Master Gardener Training and Horticulture Classes beginning at the Clarkston Campus of Walla Walla Community College on February 4. The UI and WSU Extension Master Gardener Program is open to everyone with an interest in gardening and willingness to use their knowledge, enthusiasm and experience to make a positive impact in their local communities. The classes provide extensive horticultural training to become a WSU or UI Master Gardener volunteer in Asotin, Garfield, Nez Perce or Whitman Counties.

Classes will be offered weekly from February 4 through April 14. The Horticulture Training classes are also offered to those who want to take classes for their own personal benefit and do not plan to become Master Gardener volunteers. The application deadline is January 10, 2020.

Master Gardeners are community educators who provide science-based information on horticulture and environmentally sound gardening practices through formal training.
