For my senior project, I wanted to do something that created a fun activity for Jr. High and High School students. I decided that holding a Stranger Things marathon at the Seeley Theatre would be really fun and would give the youth in our community an event that was meant for them. Costumes were encouraged, snacks could be purchased, the decorations were themed, and there was a prize at the end for whoever's name was drawn. I did this project by myself because I knew that it would allow me to be more flexible with my hours and would also make it less complicated.
Cody Jones was wonderful to work with and enjoyed the series (Stranger Things) as much as I did, which made it way easier to plan. He even gave everyone that helped a tour of the Theatre which really peaked everyone's interest in the historical landmark. Kellie Lassiter let me borrow some supplies to create decorations or use as decorations. I had multiple helpers that helped me set up and worked at the snack stand. Those helpers include Noe Longatti, Crystle Gordon, Richie Vecchio, Thomas Sylvester, and Jadence Gingerich. I was completely blown away when some of the people who came to watch the show stayed behind to help clean up.
