In the cold, windy weather, the Camas Prairie Shoot had a good turnout, approximately 250 participants. POMEROY–Seventeen local Gun Club members participated, at least in part, at the 2021 Camas Prairie Trap Shoot in Walla Walla over the March 19–21 weekend. The shoot featured 300 16-yard Targets, 300 Handicap Targets and 200 Doubles Targets over the three days.

Larry Bunch led the local participants in the Singles on Friday with a 98, which tied him for Senior Vet honors, Holly Ledgerwood, Tracy Hanger, and Robert DesJardin posted 96 scores, Mason Blachly had a 95 and Terry John posted a 94. Beau Blachly, Lee Blachly, Steve Ledgerwood, Robert Koller, and Fred Zack all had scores in the 80s. In Hadicap Tracy Hanger had a 93, and Beau Blachly and Larry Bunch posted 90s. Mason Blachly had an 89. In Friday's Doubles Bunch had a 93 and Hanger had an 83.

Saturday Doubles was the first event in high winds, Larry Bunch and Buck Geiger posted 83s in the difficult condition to lead the locals. Singles on Saturday was the first half of the Championship 200 Singles and Bunch broke a 96 and won his Carryover shoot off from the Day Before with a 23-25 on the first two traps, the Gentleman he was tied with the day before shot a pair of 23s to start giving Bunch the win. Fred Zack had a 94 in the event and Holly Ledgerwood put up a 92. Four of the Club's Junior shooters shot singles and Troy Steele led the contingent of Himself, Logan Ledgerwood, Tyson Kimble and Carson Zimmerman posting a score of 90 in the tough condition. Robert DesJardin and Beau Blachly shot 89 and 88. In Handicap Beau Blachly had the top score of 92 which was 3rd in the field of well over 250 shooters in attendance. Fred Zack had an 86 and everyone else shot in the low 80s and High 70s. Four Ladies from the Association shot off Saturday night for three positions on the 10 week All Star team and Holly Ledgerwood won a position on the team for 2021.

Sunday's Singles Buck Geiger had the top Score for Pomeroy with a 97 that combined with Saturday gave him a total of 181. Bunch had a 96 for a total of 192 and he won the Trophy for High Senior Vet. Holly Ledgerwood shot 94 for 186, Tracy Hanger shot 94 for 176, Travis Ledgerwood broke a 90 for 176 Beau Blachly had an 88 for 176. Troy Steele led the Juniors again with a 92 for a total of 182 in his first 200 registered Targets. Des Jardin had a two-day total of 180.

In Sunday's Handicap, conditions were even worse and scores were low through the field. Tracy Hanger shot a 90 which gave her the Trophy for Lady I honor. Beau Blachly posted an 86, Larry Bunch and Travis Ledgerwood put up 85s and Bunch's score was good enough for Senior Vet Runner up honors. Fred Zack had an 83 and Luke Ledgerwood posted an 82.

Tracy Hanger shot off on Sunday night for Lady I High Overall for the Tournament but lost her Shoot off. Larry Bunch's total of 723 out of the 800 targets won him the Senior Vet High Over All Trophy. Everyone in attendance appeared glad to be back shooting a big event despite the windy conditions.
