Ollie Severs shows a would-be Timberwolf defender "the hand" on his way to positive yardage in Pomeroy's 90-0 win over Tekoa-Rosalia. Severs got the ball three times for 96 yards and two touchdowns as the team chalked up 467 yards of offense while holding T-R to -22 total yards.

ROSALIA–For the Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves, superstitious Friday the Thirteenth was no help at all against their opponents. The Pirates dominated in all three phases of football, pouring on 44 first-quarter points and marking the third-highest scoring game in Pirate football history in this 90-0 runaway.

"Our young guys got some great game experience and moved the ball well versus T-R," said Head Coach Kyle Kimble. "We also held them to -22 yards of total offense for the game, the second week in a row with a great defensive effort by our young guys."

The Pirates rolled up 44 points in the first quarter, engaging the running clock and prompting Kimble and staff to "wholesale" substitute younger players into the game.

This week's game against the DeSales Irish at Lybecker Field has playoffs on the line for both teams. The Pirates are currently 6-1 on the season and the Irish are 5-2 but both are 5-1 in league play, Kimble said.

Braxton McKeirnan was the top rusher with 110 yards on 12 carries and three touchdowns, and he caught two touchdown passes. Ollie Severs scored two touchdowns on just three carries and 96 yards.

Jacob Reisinger opened the floodgates with a seven-yard touchdown run and Jett Slusser ran the point after as Pomeroy's first score. Reisinger had three carries for 56 yards.

Slusser rushed for one score and added several PATs. He gained 43 yards on four carries, and returned a punt for six. Substitute quarterback Vinnie Vecchio made three of six passes for 66 yards and two scores.

On defense, Colby Ledgerwood led the team with five tackles, Peyton Cannon brought down four, and Severs and McKeirnan each made three solo tackles. Cannon, Trace Roberts and Boone Schmidt each got a sack.
