POMEROY–District Championship gym boards and the State team and State individual placing gym boards will be presented by the Athletic Directors of the Pomeroy School District during the home basketball games on Friday, January 3, 2020.
For the 2018-2019 athletic accomplishments, the following teams and individuals will be receiving a gym board:
-Softball team-4th in State;
-Girls Golf team-2nd in State;
-Girls Golf District Champions;
-Girls Basketball team 2nd in State;
-Girls Track team 3rd in State;
-Volleyball team State Champions;
-State Champion Track 4X100 relay team Nikki Halbert, Tiffany Wessels, Carmen Gingerich, and Sydney Smith;
-State Champion Track 4X200 relay team Tiffany Wessels, Sydney Smith, Carmen Gingerich, and Nikki Halbert
The A.S.B. of Pomeroy Jr. Sr. High School recognizes individual and team champions in all W.I.A.A. sanctioned events where the champion was determined through head-to-head competition. The following are recognized with a Gym Board that will hang on the gym walls—Individual State Champion, team District Champion, team Regional Champion, and team State trophy placing.
The girls’ boards will be presented during halftime of the boys varsity game.
