Pirate high jumper Lucy Shields cleared 4-0 in the event, good enough for a fourth-place tie with Waitsburg's Makenna Barron at a District 9 meet held in Pomeroy April 9. Oakesdale's Brayden Henley won the event with a season's best 4-8. The Pirate men were sixth with 61 points, 27 behind meet winner DeSales, and the women scored 41½, also for sixth. Gar-Pal women won with 108 points. Individual results were published in the EW April 11.
